Bill Boatman is one of the most prolific celebrity photographers of our time...A free-lance photographer with over 25 years of experience, and his ability to 'capture' the moment has received him multitudes of awards as well as plenty of published recognition ....."My love affair with the camera began at a very early age. Sitting beside my father learning wisdom of composition, light, and shadow." From there, the fascination accelerated rapidly thrusting him into an endless quest for the 'perfect image’. 

Beginning his career at the ripe age of 18, Boatman has been fortunate to collaborate with some of Hollywood's biggest and most successful Cinematographers, and Directors. Working his way through the ranks as assistant editor, assistant cameraman, lighting director, camera operator, director of photography, director, and writer.  He has also been fortunate to assist photographer great like HERB RITZ, DAVID LACHAPELLE, and DANIEL PEARL, to name a few…Always learning a plethora of optical knowledge along the way while developing his distinct visual style. His photographs routinely appear in calendars, books and magazines. ELLE, US MAGAZINE, IN TOUCH, PEOPLE MAGAZINE, NEWSWEEK, USA TODAY, L.A. TIMES, N.Y. TIMES, have all used his photographs in recent years.

His screenwriting credits include "TOUGH LUCK", a riveting thriller released theatrically starring ARMANDE ASSANTE, and NORMAN REEDUS.

Currently, Bill Boatman resides in the city of Los Angeles, California.
